Tissue samples can now also be taken using various endoscope instruments. The doctor will then come to you and give you the written findings, which will be discussed briefly. If medication is necessary, you will receive a prescription.<\/p><p>Around an hour after the examination, you will be fully alert again, but driving is not allowed.<\/p><p>The samples taken during gastroscopy are examined in the laboratory (biopsy). The results are sent to the coordination office after 7\u201310 days, translated into layman&#8217;s terms by the doctor, and sent to you by email or post (depending on your preference).<\/p><p>If you would like a detailed discussion of your findings, please make a separate appointment (30 minutes), which will be charged extra.<\/p><p>You pay the bill at reception (cash or card).
