As a specialist in Internal Medicine and Cardiology, the individual care of my patients is of the utmost importance to me. As Director of the Cardiology Lipid Clinic at AKH Vienna and an active contributor to the development of European guidelines, I combine the most current medical knowledge with extensive clinical expertise – and look forward to sharing both directly with you. My particular focus lies on individual cardiovascular risk stratification, as a tailored treatment plan that places your personal situation, medical history, and goals at the centre makes all the difference. I am especially experienced in caring for patients with elevated lipid levels, elevated lipoprotein(a), familial hypercholesterolaemia, statin intolerance, and treatment-resistant hypertension.

A defining milestone in my career was a two-year research fellowship at the renowned Duke Clinical Research Institute in Durham, USA – the international perspectives I gained there have since flowed directly into my patient care.

Beyond my areas of focus, I cover the full spectrum of cardiology – from vascular disease and coronary artery disease to cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure. In a relaxed and calm atmosphere, I take the time for an in-depth consultation, careful diagnostics, and a jointly developed, individualised treatment plan.
