Our Ordination
The Co-Ordination was established in 2015 as a private doctor’s office by Dr. Gregor Ulbrich and Doz. Stefan Pfaffenberger Founded in the heart of Josefstadt.
The Co-Ordination Medical Centre is a private medical practice. At the end of your appointment, you will receive an invoice that you can submit to your health insurance. Inform yourself in advance about the cost reimbursement with your health insurance.

Why choose a private doctor?
The private doctor system allows for a patient-oriented form of care, which is not feasible in public health clinics or hospital outpatient departments.
This results in the following advantages for our patients:
- Individual appointment scheduling
- You will have plenty of time with your doctor to discuss all medical concerns.
- You will always be attended to by your doctor. A trusting doctor-patient relationship can thus be built.
- Quick and unbureaucratic on-site allocation by your doctor.
- If unforeseen problems or changes in the medical condition occur, the respective specialists can be easily consulted through the existing network of physicians on-site.
Examination costs at the Co-Ordination Private Doctor Center
All doctors at Co-Ordination are elective doctors, i.e. they practise at Lange Gasse 67 without health insurance contracts. As the services cannot be billed directly to the health insurance company, our patients receive invoices.
You can submit these invoices to your health insurance and receive the legally guaranteed partial refund. This means that 80% of the costs that a contracted doctor with public health insurance would receive for the same service will be refunded.
Private patients submit their invoices to their private insurance company. Our office assistants will be happy to inform you about submitting the invoices to the appropriate place.
The application for reimbursement from your health insurance can be submitted electronically, by mail, or in person on site. Get detailed information about the exact procedure from your health insurance. Some of our doctors already offer direct submission via their practice management software. Our reception team will provide you with detailed information about this.

- The tariffs reimbursed by statutory health insurance funds (WGKK, NÖGKK, SVA, BVA, KFA, etc.) only cover a portion of the actual costs incurred.
- Sedation (“gentle endoscopy”) is already included in the examination costs. This means that there are no unexpected additional costs for patients.
- If polyps are discovered during the colonoscopy and are immediately removed using a polypectomy, only the additional costs incurred for the consumables will be charged.
- The amount reimbursed by the statutory health insurance varies depending on the specific health insurance provider, and the patient will receive a refund after submitting the invoice.
- If you have supplementary health insurance, the costs are usually covered in full.

Submission of election fees from 1 July 2024
Wahlärzt*innen müssen ab 1. Juli 2024 ihre Honorarnoten an die Sozialversicherung (ÖGK, BVAEB, SVS) direkt übermitteln. However, there are exceptions for doctors for whom this is not possible or only possible with disproportionate effort. This applies to doctors who are about to retire and those who have a low patient volume.
Some of the doctors practising at our clinic allow direct submission, while others do not yet. Please ask at reception whether your doctor has set up the option to send information to your health insurance company.
Before transmission, the patient’s consent must be obtained and the invoice must be paid. Unpaid invoices may not be submitted.
