The examination costs 130 €. You can pay on-site with a debit card, credit card, or in cash. Unfortunately, bank transfers are not possible. After the examination, you will receive an invoice with a receipt. You can then submit this to your mandatory health insurance for reimbursement. Cardiac ultrasound is generally well reimbursed by health insurance if you have a referral from a doctor. Depending on the insurance provider, approximately €65 to €85 will be reimbursed. If you have supplementary insurance, you can then submit the remaining amount to your private insurance for reimbursement.
Stefanie Burger, BA, completed her training at the Vienna General Hospital (AKH) in the Cardiology Department and is a Medical Technical Assistant (MTA) for cardiac ultrasound examinations. The findings are additionally reviewed, interpreted, and finally validated by Dr. Stefan Pfaffenberger (cardiologist). If you would like a personal discussion of the findings with Dr. Pfaffenberger, you can arrange a separate appointment for this at our counter.
