Data protection

As of March 01, 2018

The protection of your personal data is of special concern to us. We process your data exclusively on the basis of legal regulations (GDPR, Austrian Telecommunications Act 2003). In these privacy information, we inform you about the key aspects of data processing in the context of our business relationship or initiation.
We implement organizational, contractual, and technical security measures in accordance with the state of the art to ensure compliance with the provisions of data protection laws and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). These measures are designed to protect the data we manage against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or unauthorized access by third parties.

Use of personal data

We collect personally identifiable information, such as names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, etc., only when voluntarily provided by a user to obtain information. Personal data is used exclusively by us. We use your personal data only to the extent necessary to respond to your inquiries, create offers, and provide you with better service in accordance with these privacy principles. We reserve the right to use, withhold, or disclose personal data as required to comply with laws, regulations, or legal requirements, to investigate customer complaints or potential violations of the law, to protect the integrity of the websites, to respond to your requests, or to cooperate in legal investigations.

Contact with us

If you contact us by email, the information you provide will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not disclose this data without your consent. To the extent that personal data (such as name, address, or email) is collected on our pages, this is always done on a voluntary basis, if possible. We only use your data to the extent necessary for responding to the inquiry. If a business relationship arises from the inquiry, this data will also be stored in accordance with legal regulations. If no business relationship ensues, all personal data will be deleted or anonymized after a period of one year.
We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g., when communicating via email) can have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data from access by third parties is not possible. It is expressly pointed out that communication via email is not a secure method of communication due to the nature of emails!

The visit to our website – Google Analytics

The use of our website is usually possible without providing personal data. By accessing our website, no personal data is stored on our web server. Your IP address is also not stored on our web server.
However, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. („Google“). Google uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about the use of the online offering by users is usually transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there.
Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate the use of our online offering by users, to compile reports on activities within this online offering, and to provide us with further services related to the use of this online offering and internet usage. From the processed data, pseudonymous user profiles can be created.
We use Google Analytics only with activated IP anonymization (on this website, the Google Analytics code has been extended with ‘gat._anonymizeIp();’ to ensure data protection-compliant anonymized collection of IP addresses). This means that the IP address of users will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. The IP address transmitted by the user’s browser is not merged with other Google data.
Users can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting their browser software settings; additionally, users can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to their use of the online offering to Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

For more information on data usage for advertising purposes by Google, as well as settings and opt-out options, please visit Google’s websites: https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/partners/ (‘How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps’), http://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads (‘Data use for advertising purposes’), http://www.google.de/settings/ads (‘Manage information that Google uses to show you ads’), and http://www.google.com/ads/preferences/ (‘Determine which ads Google shows you’).

Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device with the help of your browser. They do not cause any harm. We use cookies to make our offer user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. They enable us to recognize your browser on your next visit. If you do not wish this, you can set up your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and allow this only in individual cases. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of our website.

Links to other websites as well as integration of third-party services and content

Our online offering contains links to other websites. We have no control over whether their operators comply with data protection regulations. It may happen that third-party content, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds, or graphics from other websites, is embedded within this online offering. This always presupposes that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as ‘third-party providers’) perceive the IP address of the users. Because without the IP address, they could not send the content to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is therefore necessary for the display of this content. We strive to use only such content whose respective providers use the IP address solely for the delivery of the content. However, we have no control over whether third-party providers, for example, store the IP address for statistical purposes. As far as we are aware, we inform users about this.

Children

Individuals under 18 years of age should not transmit personal data to us without the consent of their parents or legal guardians. We do not request, collect, or disclose personal data from children.

Your rights

You have the fundamental rights to information, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, revocation, and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or your data protection rights have otherwise been violated, you can file a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority. In the event of a contract conclusion, all data from the contractual relationship will be stored until the expiration of the statutory retention period for tax purposes (7 years). The data processing is carried out based on the legal provisions of § 96 Abs 3 TKG as well as Art 6 Abs 1 lit a (consent) and/or lit b (necessary for the performance of a contract) of the GDPR. If you would like us to update, modify, or delete information we have about you (subject to applicable legal exceptions), please contact us by email at info@co-ordination.at.
