As a specialist in internal medicine and cardiology, providing personalized care to my patients is particularly important to me. As the director of the Cardiology Lipid Clinic at Vienna General Hospital and an active contributor to European guidelines, I combine the latest medical knowledge with extensive practical experience—and I would like to share both directly with you. My particular focus is on personalized cardiovascular risk stratification, because a tailored treatment plan that takes your individual situation, medical history, and goals into account makes all the difference. I have particular expertise in caring for patients with elevated blood lipid levels, elevated lipoprotein(a), familial hypercholesterolemia, statin intolerance, and treatment-resistant hypertension.

A defining milestone in my career was a two-year research fellowship at the renowned Duke Clinical Research Institute in Durham, North Carolina—the international perspectives I gained there have since been directly incorporated into my patient care.

In addition to my areas of expertise, I cover the entire spectrum of cardiology—from vascular changes and coronary artery disease to arrhythmias and heart failure.
